The upper east side is getting a new girl in the third season of Gossip Girl. Hilary Duff is joining the cast as Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience. Supposedly she will be rooming with Vanessa, which should be interesting. She will be in a lot of episodes and we can expect to see Hilary for the first time on the 4th episode of Season 3 which is slated to air on October 5th.
